A new career is only 16 weeks away with expanded offerings at NWTC’s regional learning centers

Starting this October, residents from the Aurora, Crivitz, Luxemburg, Oconto Falls, and Shawano areas will have more ways to earn an NWTC certification or credential in their communities. NWTC is excited to bring more program offerings to its regional learning centers, helping give more opportunities for education and training to the entire Northeast Wisconsin region.   

The programs are designed to help people gain hands-on skills and knowledge to start degrees, advance their careers, and prepare for new career fields – in only 16 weeks (two eight-week class sessions).  

Each new certification or certificate will transfer fully into a technical diploma or associate degree, so you can continue your education (and increase your earning potential!) when it fits your schedule. Courses will be offered through a blend of in-person and virtual instruction that varies by the program, offering additional flexibility.    

“Bringing more courses to our regional learning centers aligns with the College’s larger efforts to make education more accessible to our communities throughout Northeast Wisconsin,” said Jan Scoville, dean of Regional Learning. “We are excited for the opportunity to offer more courses that will help students get into a career pathway and onto a new position in such a short timeframe.” 

Students can sign up online or stop at their local regional center to walk through the process with our staff at those locations.  

The new course offerings, funded in part by federal COVID-19 relief, are part of the College’s goal to make education more accessible to all students in the region.
